San Bartolomeo al Mare
Numerous
possibilities are in store for those who visit the Riviera dei
Fiori in Liguria: beaches, sun, sea
or mountains, walks in
the woods, medieval villages... On the Riviera of Flowers you
will find all of these
and so much more!
San Bartolomeo al Mare lies at the centre of a wide bay, between
Diano Marina and Cervo Ligure, in a landscape dominated by the
azure sea.
Our town is famous for its climate, the long sunny days, and its
average of 300 fine-weather days a year. The average temperature
in winter is 15°, and in summer 30°.
You can relax on the beach, explore the inland area with its
old churches surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, or maybe
practise a sport. There is a surfing and sailing school; various
walking or cycling routes; and tennis courts and golf courses
less than half an hour away.
There are also plenty of events to enjoy year round: the Carnevale
Dianese, the Infiorata del Corpus Domini religious festival,
the Festival of Sanremo, the classical music festivals of Cervo
and Rovere DOro, the Milan-Sanremo cycling race, the vintage
sailing boat and motorised yacht meeting in Imperia, along with
numerous other gatherings.
Another irresistible attraction is our gastronomy. Fish, vegetables,
white meats and abundant aromas make up the ingredients of the
Ligurian cuisine and the Mediterranean diet, which you can savour
here in a simple trattoria or a more refined restaurant.
